Rady Children’s Ice Rink Through December
Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary and Liberty Station welcome San Diegans to kick-off the holiday season with outdoor ice skating at the Rady Children’s Ice Rink at Liberty Station. The outdoor rink will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., excluding Christmas. Net proceeds will benefit the Rady Children’s Hospital’s Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

55th Annual North Park Toyland Parade Dec. 1
The historic neighborhood of North Park will warmly welcome friends and family to bundle up and delight in San Diego’s most joyful parade. Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights Dec. 8
Fishing boats, sail boats, yachts, and kayaks alike will be draped in holiday decor as they circle the Oceanside Harbor to enchant onlookers at the harbor, restaurants and beach. One of the best viewing spots is along the side of the Oceanside Harbor near the fishing dock and police station (from here, you can see the parade twice!) Poway’s Christmas in the Park Dec. 8

Wacky Wonky Wonderland Dec. 9

San Diego Bay Parade of Lights Dec. 9-16
The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is a time-honored holiday tradition with more than 80 boats lavishly decorated and sailing by the shores for all to see. Held on two consecutive Sundays in December, the parade proceeds from Shelter Island past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Pier at Cesar Chavez Park and the Ferry Landing in Coronado. https://sdparadeoflights.org/ 

11th Annual Vet + Pet West Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade Dec. 16
Deck those paws with bells so jolly and jingle all the way through the Gaslamp Quarter! Skating by the Sea Thru Dec
Skating by the Sea returns to Hotel del Coronado from Thanksgiving Day through January 1. This ice rink is located seaside on Windsor Lawn and features views of the Pacific and Coronado beach. The Del’s iconic Victorian Building, adorned with thousands of white lights, provides a visual backdrop and adds holiday music and hot chocolate and libations. Skating is $25 per person, and ice skate rentals are free.

Rady Children’s Ice Rink at Liberty Station Thru Dec
The season runs through Sunday, January 7; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. During the day expect young children and parents at the rink. As the sun goes down the teens come out for faster-paced skating. Night sessions attract adults willing to give ice skating a try. All proceeds benefit the Rady Children’s Hospital’s Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
