Annual Julian Grape Stomp Festa Sept. 3
We are excited to be continuing the old-world tradition of kicking off your shoes, rolling up your pant legs and letting tons of blessed grapes squish beneath your feet! With ten local wineries offering sips to sample, a wide variety of food and shopping opportunities, great Italian music provided by Roman Holiday, Bocce Ball Court, a little extemporaneous dancing here and there, this will be a party to remember!
9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Sept. 10
On September 11, 2001, 403 emergency responders made the ultimate sacrifice. The San Diego 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, located at the Hilton Bayfront is the only event of its kind in the region. Each year hundreds of Firefighters, Public Safety Officers, civilians, and family members gather to climb the hotel stairs to honor the memories of the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to create an experience none of us will ever forget. The world’s top professional female surfers are back in Oceanside for the 14th Supergirl Surf Pro, a three-day event in September. The weekend will be jam-packed with world-class competition that will have you on your toes and a festival village loaded with female-inspired vendors, activities and entertainment.
Miramar Airshow Sept. 23-25
The Marine Corps Air Station Miramar is honoring 100 years of women in the U.S. Marine Corps at this year’s airshow. Known as the biggest airshow in the country, the show will feature exhibits, food, beer, and dazzling performances by current military pilots and the world-famous Blue Angels!
Adams Avenue Street Fair Sept. 24-25
The 40th annual Adams Avenue Street Fair – featuring 80 musical acts on six stages – will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25. The event also features beer gardens and beer tastings, giant carnival rides, festival foods and 300 arts and crafts booths.
Encinitas Oktoberfest Sept. 25
The 27th Annual Encinitas Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest will feature craft beers, 200 vendors, music, rides, a family fun zone and so much more! This event is FREE to attend.
San Diego Restaurant Week Sept. 25-Oct. 2
For eight days 180 restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixed dinner and lunch menus starting at $20 per person. The restaurants span across the county from the South Bay to East County and to the borders of Oceanside and Fallbrook to the North and touch on all cuisine types and cravings.
