SIP of Julian July 3
Julian Tasting Rooms offering samples of their wine, beer, hard
cider, or craft cocktails at this Town Wide Event that will take you
to the beautiful mountain community of Julian, California. As in
previous years, the event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and
gives tasters time to enjoy their samples paired with small bites
at each venue, take in the scenery, and spend a relaxing day
enjoying the sights and sounds of Julian. Tickets required.

Encinitas Concerts by the Sea July 3
Free concerts are held right on the sand at beautiful Moonlight
Beach in Encinitas. Sponsored by the City of Encinitas Parks and
Recreation Department. Enjoy a great summer of entertainment at
Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Concerts are free to the public and
go from 3-5 p.m. This four concert series held in July and August
takes place right on Moonlight Beach on Sunday afternoons.
Bring beach blankets and chairs, a picnic basket if you like, and

Big Bay BOOM July 4
The Big Bay Boom July 4th Fireworks Show is back, promising
another spectacular display over San Diego Bay. Fireworks will
be discharged simultaneously from barges placed strategically
around the Bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Embarcadero
North, Seaport Village, Embarcadero South Marina Park and
Coronado Ferry Landing. The impeccably choreographed display

Coronado Crown City Run July 4
Celebrate America’s birth by running a scenic 7.4 mile run on
Coronado island! Kids ages 12 and under can participate in the

Tanabata Festival July 7
Originating from Chinese folklore, Tanabata is a holiday that
celebrates the meeting of Orihime and Hikoboshi! Separated by
the Milky Way, the stars Orihime and Hikoboshi are able to meet
once per year on the seventh day of the seventh month. Guests
of all ages are invited to enjoy the summer sun and partake in the
Tanabata celebration. This year’s festival will be full of kid-friendly
fun, such as games, performances, crafts and food !

2022 Annual Over the Line Tournament July 9-17
San Diego’s beach softball Over the Line Tournament is played
by men and women into their 80’s and is one of the last pure

Imperial Beach Sun & Sea Festival July 16

All-American Car Show July 16
The All American Car Show is the Mopar Club of San Diego’s premier event. All proceeds are donated to charity serving the local military community. Comic-Con International July 21-24
Comic-Con International is the largest comics and pop culture
event in the United States, attracting thousands of artists,
celebrities and fans of comic books, movie memorabilia and all

Del Mar Races July 22 – Sept. 11
San Diego horse racing takes place where the “turf meets the surf”
at the Del Mar Racetrack. Fans flock to the track each summer to
wager on their favorite horses during the popular, annual Del Mar
Thoroughbred Club racing season, mid-July – early-September.
Be part of the magic and nostalgia of this long-time horse race
tradition dating back to 1937 when Bing Crosby greeted the first

Marine Band Summer Concert July 30
The Little Italy Association of San Diego is proud to present the
Marine Band San Diego Summer Concert to be held in the new

TGA 5K July 30
The 2022 Donate Life Transplant Games 5K Walk/Run event
will take place Saturday, July 30, 2022 in the downtown San
Diego area. This early morning event celebrates the lives of
those who have received a second chance at life, recognizes
those still waiting for a life-saving transplant, and all the donor
families who have lost a loved one. All proceeds support organ,
eye, and tissue donation. This event welcomes everyone in the
transplant community, as well as supporters and the public. Sign
