On September 11, 2001, 403 emergency responders made the ultimate sacrifice. The San Diego 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, located at the Hilton Bayfront is the only event of its kind in the region. Each year hundreds of Firefighters, Public Safety Officers, civilians, and family members gather to climb the hotel stairs to honor the memories of the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to create an experience none of us will ever forget. We are excited to be continuing the old-world tradition of kicking off your shoes, rolling up your pant legs and letting tons of blessed grapes squish beneath your feet! An unforgettable evening showcasing the talents of over 30 of the best chefs from San Diego and Baja at the annual Grand Chef Throwdown. Julian Music Festival Sept. 21
The Annual Julian Music Festival originally began as a banjo and fiddle competition. In its 50th year, the Festival will include bluegrass, Americana, and contemporary jazz acts. Adams Avenue Street Fair Sept. 21-22
The 38th annual Adams Avenue Street Fair – featuring 80 musical acts on six stages – will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. The event also features beer gardens and beer tastings, giant carnival rides, festival foods and 300 arts and crafts booths.

For eight days 180 restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixed dinner menus starting at $20 per person and/or two-course prix-fixed lunch menus starting at $10 per person. The restaurants span across the county from the South Bay to East County and to the borders of Oceanside and Fallbrook to the North and touch on all cuisine types and cravings.
