Over-the-Line (OTL) Tournament July 8-9 and July 15-16
A San Diego summertime tradition, Over-the-Line (OTC), is hosted over the course of two weekends every July at Fiesta Island. Put on by the Old Mission Bay Athletic Club (OMBAC), the annual tournament typically gathers approximately 1,200 teams from around the world to play Over-the-Line, a bat and ball sport first played in Mission Beach in the 1950s. Teams dress up in wacky costumes and bring tents, chairs, beer and hilarious signs to the beach for the carefree, daytime tournament.

San Diego Pride July 14-16
The annual San Diego LGBT Pride Parade colors the streets of Hillcrest in July, with the parade starting at the Hillcrest Pride Flag at University Avenue and Normal Street. The 1.1-mile route proceeds west on University Avenue, turns south on 6th, left onto Balboa Drive and ends at Laurel Street. Pride weekend also features live music acts, a street festival, a Pride 5K run and other fun events in the hip Hillcrest community.

Little Italy Summer Film Festival July 17 – Aug 26
Little Italy hosts the Little Italy Summer Film Festival in collaboration with Cinema Little Italy, a series of Italian films with English subtitles. Screenings are every Saturday night in Little Italy’s Amici Park outdoor amphitheater starting at 8:00 p.m. in mid-June through August (located at the corner of State and Date Streets). The entry fee is a $5 donation.

Opening Day July 19

San Diego Comic-Con International July 20-25
