Oktoberfest in El Cajon Oct 2-3, Oct 9-11
Taste authentic German food such as bratwurst, ox-on-the-spit, potato salad, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, and red cabbage, plus a variety of German pastries and pretzels. Soft drinks and adult beverages are sold, featuring a selection of German beers on draft, plus wines and a full bar.

Revolt Summer Surf Series 9.0 Oct 3
The Revolt Summer Surf Series is a non World Surf League domestic surfing competition for male and female surfers, professional and amateur. Enjoy a day at Beachfest and watch the carvers, longboards, and SUPs compete. No charge for spectators.

Pacific Beachfest 5K Oct 3
Pacific Beachfest 5K was voted 2014 Competitor’s best 5K/10K for the Pacific region. Run/walk down the beach and boardwalk with your peers and competitors. Every finisher will receive a tank top, a race medal, sunglasses, and tickets to our beer garden.

Serbia Serbia! Festival Oct 3
Teams of Firefighters, Law Enforcement, Military and civilians will climb 110 Authentic Serbian food, home-made pastries, Serbian open market, folk dance performance, and kids’ games.

San Diego Maker Faire is a festival of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness and a celebration of the burgeoning maker movement in the San Diego Region. A family friendly event with performances, games, a beer garden featuring local professional breweries, Mash Heads Homebrew Club beers, and a home-brew competition, all to raise money for University City schools.

Festa! in Little Italy Oct 11
This Italian cultural festival is a day filled with authentic live Italian entertainment, Italian food, stickball and bocce ball tournaments, a colorful flag procession, and of course the festival’s favorite: Gesso Italiano (Italian Chalk) to celebrate one of the most iconic neighborhoods in the country. Over 120,000 visitors are expected to attend.

Halloween Carnival Oct 16-17
The 29th annual Halloween carnival includes two scary days of fun this year. On Friday there will be carnival rides on the school field and the Haunted House, a free-standing fully constructed haunted mansion set up in the cafeteria.
