Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo May 1 – 3
Don’t miss the 32nd annual Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo 2015, a San Diego tradition since 1983. This celebration in Old Town is the largest event of its kind in Southern California. Three days of music, food and fun.
Cinco de Mayo Trail Run May 2
The challenging and unique courses will take you out on the Lake Poway Trail through the foothills around the lake near Blue Sky Ecological Reserve. The 5K is designed to let you pick your pace. Enjoy it as an elite trail runner, as a challenging family run or simply a gorgeous morning nature hike. The 10K adds to this course – with a grueling out-and-back trek (or up-and-down if we’re being honest) into Blue Sky and a quad-burning +10% climb to the Ramona Dam. Take our advice and start training now!
Tacos and Tequila Festival May 2
Tacos and Tequila festival in a fun interactive event celebrating the best margaritas and tacos in San Diego. Ten of the best mixologists in town will be serving complimentary samples of their signature margaritas, guest vote for their favorites. Ten of the best restaurants will be serving complimentary signature tacos. Guest get two voting cards to pick their top choices. Winning restaurant will get the golden taco award. The event also features a craft beer garden with mutiple local breweries serving complimentary samples of their best beers. Live music will entertain the crowd and get the party people dancing. 21+ event.
Carlsbad Spring Village Faire Mar. 3
Just like at past fairs, over 900 vendors will sell everything fathomable, including clothes, accessories, plants, household products, art, antiques and home decor. The international food court will once again feature more than 50 booths serving everything from Thai to Hawaiian cuisine. The children’s area will entertain youngsters with games, a super slide, a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, face painting and arts and crafts.
Gator By The Bay-Zydeco, Blues & Crawfish Festival May 7 – 10
Join us for the largest, authentic Louisiana-themed festival this side of the bayous, featuring four days of live music on six stages, dancing, parading, shopping, playing and eating over 10,000 pounds of mouthwatering crawfish straight from Louisiana!
Asian Cultural Festival of San Diego May 9
The Asian Cultural Festival of San Diego will celebrate its 6th year as San Diego’s largest celebration for Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month!
Chocolate Festival May 9
Spend the Saturday before Mother’s Day at San Diego Botanic Garden’s famous Chocolate Festival. Enjoy dozens of delectable chocolate tastings, demonstrations, a chocolate fountain, and more. This family-friendly event also features lots of children’s activities and a variety of Mother’s Day gifts. Tasting tickets will be sold on-site.

Ramona Rodeo May 14 – 17
The Ramona Rodeo offers top notch PRCA rodeo. One of the country’s top PRCA sanctioned full-scale pro rodeos, competitive events include barrel racing, tie-down roping, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping and bareback riding. Other activities include a cowgirl fashion show, cowboy and cowgirl mixer, Kid’s Day clowns, rodeo queens, and photo and autograph opportunities.
Festival of the Arts in North Park & Craft Beer Block May 16
This annual free festival has grown into a local tradition that includes amazing local art, exciting live music and dance performances, eco-friendly activities, vendor booths and fabulous food. All proceeds benefit North Park Main Street, the non-profit organization committed to the revitalization of the North Park Business Improvement District.

Escondido Grand Avenue Festival May 17
Since 1989, the Escondido Street Faire has brought live entertainment, over 500 vendors, children’s rides and activities, and food from around the world to the downtown tree-lined streets of Escondido. Covering seven blocks along historic Grand Avenue, the Escondido Street Fair is the second largest single-day fair in California.
San Diego Surf Film Festival May 20 – 23
The 2015 SDSFF will highlight over 20 international films, include dozens of filmmakers and producers in attendance, Q&As, filmmaker panel and workshops, an amazing surf art gallery, surf legends and shaping demos, beach clean-ups and expression sessions, incredible live music, serendipitous live art, rad people and raging after-parties. We welcome surf enthusiasts and filmmakers from around the world to come celebrate the art of surf cinema in our beautiful hometown.
San Diego Jazz Festival May 22 – 24
Building on the long history of having smooth jazz in the San Diego area, the San Diego Jazz Festival is a “must attend” event for R&B and smooth jazz starved fans in “America’s Finest City”. The festival takes place Memorial Day weekend – a perfect time to enjoy great weather and award winning music.
