Lake Poway 2014-2015 Trout Season Dec. 4 – Apr. 30
Trout season has returned at last! Lake Poway will be
freshly stocked with 3,000 pounds of Chaulk Mound Trout
Farm’s finest “Nebraska Tailwalkers”. Come on out for
our Opening Day on Thursday, December 4th and enjoy
the best permit prices in the area! The lake will be stocked
approximately every two weeks through April, 2015.

‘HISTORY OF NAVY SEALs in CORONADO’ Thru Jan. 30
Through photographs, vivid chronological displays
of memorabilia and actual equipment used in special
operations– past and present–visitors will discover
how the SEALs and Coronado have grown up together.
An explanation of the infamous “BUDS” training every
SEAL must undergo will also be given. Admission to the
Museum of History & Art is $5 for adults; $3 for seniors
(65 and over); free for children (15 and under). Admission
for CHA members (and accompanied guests) and active duty
military (and families) is also free when valid I.D. is
presented. The Navy SEAL Foundation will receive 10% of
admission proceeds.

4th Annual Art-A-Thon Jan. 10
ArtHatch is excited to announce their Fourth Annual
Art-A-Thon, a marathon of artistic creation to benefit the
non-profit art center’s teen program. 25 artists from San
Diego County will seek donations to create artwork for up
to 24 straight hours. As works are finished, they will be
added to the ArtHatch gallery space and auctioned off for
a one-month period following the event. Proceeds from
donations and art sales will be divided between the artists
and ArtHatch to help support the centers free art education
program for local at risk teens.

34th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade and Festival Jan. 19, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Downtown San Diego Bay Waterfront
Celebrate the legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. at a waterfront parade. Musical bands, floats and
drill teams will march along the Embarcadero from North
Harbor Drive south to Pacific Highway. The parade is
coordinated by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha
Phi Alpha, the oldest Black fraternity in the United States,
which was founded in 1906 at Cornell University. Dr. King
