02Dash & Dine Gaslamp 5K      July 3

03University City 4th of July Celebration     July 4

04Yankee Doodle Dinghy Parade    July 4

05Rancho Bernardo Spirit of the Fourth Festival     July 4
A patriotic festival is in full swing. Highlights include military displays, a veterans memorial, antique cars, food, art, games, a talent competition, and a fireworks show. The community of Scripps Ranch is celebrating Independence Day with a parade. 07Mira Mesa Community 4th of July Parade     July 4
Residents can watch a patriotic parade consisting of marching high school bands, marching groups of local organizations and businesses, and dignitaries riding in decorated cars. 10World Championship Over-The-Line Tournament     July 12-13 & 19-20
This rough and tumble Southern California sport is a form of softball played on sand. Over 1,300 three-person teams play in different age divisions. It’s a lively cultural festival for all ages to enjoy. As a prelude to the upcoming LGBT Pride Parade & Festival events, an evening block party rally takes place that consists mostly of speeches. 19Kaiser Permanente Bolt to the Q 5K & Kids Fun Run      July 20
Get ready for the football season by joining this 5K event where you can run with Charger players and staff. 21Joggin’ For Frogmen 5K & Tadpole Trot      July 26
Come and join this 5K run/walk at Liberty Station in honor of Navy SEALS (Frogmen) and all military heroes who have sacrificed their lives while protecting our country; including the 31 heroes who were killed in a hilicopter crash in Afganistan. 22San Diego Surf Cup     July 26-31
This nationally recognized premier youth soccer tournament is one of the top two youth soccer tournaments in the nation.
